A Little About Bakeitlala

Bakeitlala is a small creative brand born from a love of making things by hand.

I’m Lala, the person behind Bakeitlala. What started as a love for creating, experimenting and bringing ideas to life has gradually grown into a world of handmade pieces, creative sewing, baking and other little projects that allow me to keep creating.

For me, making something is never simply about the finished product.

It begins with an idea.

Then comes the search for the right materials, choosing fabrics, colours and textures, combining them, developing the design and working out how everything should come together. From there, every piece is carefully cut, sewn, assembled and finished by hand.

This process is at the heart of Bakeitlala.

Creative sewing has become the biggest part of what I create.

I love taking beautiful fabrics and turning them into something useful, distinctive and made to be enjoyed every day.

From bags and pouches to covers, organisers and little everyday accessories, each piece is designed and handmade with attention to proportion, colour, texture and detail.

I don’t simply choose a fabric and make a product from it. I enjoy the whole creative process — finding materials, imagining combinations, developing ideas and seeing them slowly become something real.

Because everything is made by hand, each collection is created in small quantities and some pieces may only be available for a limited time.

There is a lot that happens before a finished Bakeitlala piece reaches you.

I can spend days looking for the right materials, comparing colours, considering combinations and refining an idea before I even begin sewing.

Then comes the making: cutting carefully, sewing, assembling, checking the details and making those final little adjustments that turn an idea into a finished piece.

I believe that this time matters.

Every Bakeitlala sewing piece is handmade in the UK, one piece at a time.

I choose materials carefully, design each piece myself and make every item with patience and attention to detail.

I want Bakeitlala to feel personal without feeling ordinary, creative without feeling excessive, and handmade without compromising on quality.

Most importantly, I want you to feel that someone genuinely cared about making the piece you chose.

More Than Sewing

Although creative sewing is now at the heart of Bakeitlala, it is not the only way I love to create.

Baking remains a small and special part of the brand. I enjoy creating muffins, cookies and cakes with clear flavours, good ingredients and the same attention to detail that I bring to my handmade work.

There is also a little space for scrapbooking and other creative projects.

These different interests may seem quite different, but they all come from the same place:

the joy of making something from an idea and giving it a life of its own.
