These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and the purchase of products from BakeItLala.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

BakeItLala is a small UK-based business selling handmade products.

2. Our Products

All items sold by BakeItLala are handmade and artisanal.

Because products are made by hand:

  • Each item may have minor variations
  • Colours, textures, and details may differ slightly from photos
  • No two items are identical
  • Small imperfections are part of the handmade nature and are not considered faults

Product photos and videos are provided to give the clearest possible representation before purchase.


3. Orders & Contract Formation

When you place an order:

  1. You receive an order confirmation email (this does not mean acceptance).
  2. The contract is formed when we dispatch your order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders in cases of:

  • suspected fraud
  • payment issues
  • pricing errors
  • stock or production issues

4. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are shown in GBP (£)
  • Payments are accepted by credit or debit card only
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment provider
  • We do not store card details

We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but confirmed orders will not be affected.


5. Shipping & Delivery

  • Products are handmade to order
  • Dispatch time: 2–4 working days unless otherwise stated
  • Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • postal services
  • customs
  • incorrect customer address

Free shipping applies only when the minimum order amount is met before discounts.


6. Returns & Cancellations

  • Perishable Goods (Bakery): Due to their nature, our baked treats are perishable and made to order. Therefore, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once the order is in production.
  • Handmade & Custom Items: Many of our sewing and scrapbooking items are “Bespoke” or “Made to Order”. Under UK Law, custom-made or personalised items are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period and cannot be returned unless faulty.
  • Minor Variations: As explained in Section 2, minor variations in handmade items are not considered defects and do not qualify for a return.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this.


7. Damaged or Faulty Items (Legal Rights)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers are entitled to receive goods that are as described and of satisfactory quality.

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos and description of the issue

If confirmed as faulty, we will offer:
✔ Replacement item only
❌ No cash refunds unless legally required


8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BakeItLala is not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses
  • delays outside our control
  • misuse of products
  • postal or courier issues after dispatch

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.


9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Provide accurate shipping details
  • Ensure safe receipt of parcels
  • Inspect items on delivery

We are not responsible for parcels delivered to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.


10. Intellectual Property

All images, product designs, text, and branding belong to BakeItLala.

They may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.


11. Privacy

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Disputes will be handled in UK courts.
